hey guys..

my buddy has a 06 GTO.. and he found out about an idea on his LS1 site that since his axle back bolts together kind of like ours excpet wiht like to flat flanges that bolt to eachother.. where as ours is clamped together..

well..

he found out how to make $3.00 cutouts.. he went to home debot and bought a dozen or so washers.. unbolted the exhuast.. and put about 3 or 4 whshers on each bolt and then reassembled.. did the same for the otherside..

and honestly.. it donesnt sound hald bad..

i have another buddy who has a charger with electric cut outs.. and it sounds sooo good.. well this GTO sounds the same just not as loud..

so i got the idea as i looked under my car in jellousy, to get any ideas to inhace my exhuast in this time of no money for mods..

i got the idea of drilling two 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch holes 180 degree from eachother on the bent tubing from the muffler to the clamp.. this way it will be replaced when i buy my exhuast soon.. and i can also have louder exhuast..

i might try it..

what do you all think?.. besides the fact that its cheap, ricey, halfass.. etc etc..

IM BROKE!!! and desperate for better exhuast!!!!! ... plus this is free and can be repaird easily if its that bad!

Dont do it! Just wait until you or someone that may buy it for you can do it the right way.

experiment w/ the no exhaust. idk, i think i might give it a shot as well. it's going to be crazy loud.

I'm amazed at what some folks will think of doing; not sure how old he is but I suppose when I was 16 -17 I did stuff like this. ...though that wasn't on a new car.

Just take a screwdriver and jab it into your muffler a couple of times.

I would highly advise against that. You will regret doing it about 10 minutes after it's done!
