Most tire places that are worth a craphave a universal lock removal kit. I know Autozone sold them for a few months, then recalled them back to the manufacturer because they decided it wasn't something that should be kept in stock. For about $20 I could take off any wheel lock, pretty simple. I'd say a good shop would swap out your locking nuts for regular ones for a minimal charge, they may not even charge labor.

Yea my buddy who is a tow truck driver told me that the locking nuts do more harm than good... He said if someone wants your wheels they will get them with or without the lock key... he also said that the key pattern tends to get stripped and rendered useless if you take it somewhere to rotate ur tires or whatever and they need to take it off with a impact gun...

Save the package with the number on it! I bought a cheap-o-set from autozone and kept the package, but i had the key in the doorpanel and when ford messed it up and replaced it, i pulled out the package to look for the number....and it was on the key, not the package...I had to have the dealer drill them off.

go to discount tire.. they will use a breaker bar and break off all the wheel locks.. then buy a new set of gorillas.. and then have them put them back on..

i think they run about 25..

also i work at discount tire.. you are NOT supposed to torque your wheel locks.. we gun them on at about 80-90 and then thats it.. we torque the rest..

your will mess up the teeth on the lock/key

My dealer misplaced my keyand could not find a Master key to remove wheels. Went to a local tire shop, they beat a socket onto thelock nuts and got them off. I bought a new set of McGards?? and ordered a spare key.
