Thinking about an 05 GT purchase. Never owned a Mustang before and I would like to here from you GT owners your impressions of the new Mustang. Hows it handle? hows it compare to other cars you'v owned? Any negatives? Stuff like that.

I purchased a new Mustang Gt, it is a great car, I really dont have any faults with it, well one, wish it had heated seats. It handles very well in my opinion, traction control works great, I have driven all the previous Mustangs and the 05 is by far the best in my opinion. Sure get alot of looks and positive comments on it too.
For the price you cant beat it. It dosent have some of the amenities that some people can get accustomed to. But that is ok

Thanks Guys, keep the comments comeing if you can, I know it's a new car and theres not that many of you out there yet.
Right now i'v got a 350z that I'm thinking of tradeing for the stang. I miss the V8 and love the new look. Had a 2000 z28 for a couple of years, powerfull, but unrefined. I'm hopeing the new Mustang is worlds better than the Z28 was.
Hows the power delivery on the 4.6 V8? Does it have plenty of down low torque, or is all the power up high?

Ordered mine two weeks 3 days seven hours ago.

Not a fan of leather due to no heated seats. was 27 this morning in Savannah, so imagine what your seats would have felt like ... lol

I ordered mine around the 17th of November. I am not a fan of leather as well. I had one car with leather and I will never go back to it. Did you get a build date or VIN yet? What is the estimated date of arrival for you? Can't hardly wait to get mine though.

Also looking at diving back into Mustang ownership. It too just dawned on my last night that not only does this beast not have xenon lights, it doesn't have heated seats.

And, in looking through 2 Mustang magazines it doesn't look like any of the aftermarket vendors are making one. Does anybody have a 3rd party option out there?

Live in Phoenix, no need for heated seats
Love leather, but cloth is available
Car = Best bang for the buck out there!
Side note, I have always driven with my seat all the way back in every car I have owned, this one I can't

The traction contoll is worthless. I turn it off every time I get in the car.

How can you say it's the best car for the money?

Some guys are paying almost 28-30k for them if not more for verts. A slightly used cobra goes for that much with more hp, easier upgradability, better suspension, better interior, nice wheels, etc.
