Default Dennys driveshaft question

I just got my Dennys driveshaft in the mail. Boy does it look sweet. But it did not come with the adaptor plate.? Anyone else who has ordered it from them have this problem? is there supposed to be another box?

actually I do see that there are 2 other drive shaft options, I'm guessing it is one of those because it no longer has the 4 bolt holes at the smaller end (transmission end?) it now has one big bolt that I think bolts onto the spindle of the transmission. any ideas if this is righ? do I need to take apart the yolk to do this? what is the torque to tighten it?

That end bolts to the pinion (rearend), the other end with 4 holes bolts to the transmission. You'll need to remove the pinion nut, which I believe is 1 1/16 inch bolt. Did it come with a new pinion nut?

Anyway make sure you don't pull the slip joint apart or else you'll mess up the alignment of the shaft. That stopped making the adapter plate due to all the problems people were having installing them without vibrations.

You'll need to unbolt the pinion flange from the driveshaft and bolt it to the rear (new driveshaft i'm talking about). Once you remove the stock driveshaft you'll see the large nut that holds the stock pinion flange on there.

thanks. yeah after I posted I thought it was for the rear since that is where the adaptor plate was. I just hadn't seen anyone describe this new end. thanks again.
