Default 3.31 Rear with Manual Transmission

I have the chance to trade my redfire 06 GT vert for a Black 07 GT vert, it is sweet looking, and I have never had a black mustang. My only question is the 3.31 final drive ratio.

Are current owners happy? Do you wish you had gotten the 3.55's?

What are your RPM's at 70 mph?

I know I can always get the FRPP 4.10 gears later. Does anyone know of a reputable installer in or near AR?

Thanks

I have that ratio, and for one thing i can tell you, In terms of performance, you better get 3.73 at least. The launch is fairly slow. 70mph for me is around 2k can remember exactly. But one thing for sure. I WILL change gears to 3.73 some time in May.

I have an 07 manual with 3.31's and it is still plenty quick. I'm sure the 3.55's are faster but this way I won't feel as bad about jumping to 3.73's or 4.10's

Good enough for me. Still plenty of muscle and I enjoy the MPG's that I get with them.

+1. 70mph=2000rpm. 100mph=2700rpm. And the gas mileage is good.

That acutually sounds pretty good. I had a 2004 canyon with the offroad tires and 3.73's, it was pullin like 1900 rpm at 75 mph, real nice on gas.

Thanks all.

They're fine for me. Then again, I have nothing to compare the 3.31s against. 70mph @ 2000rpm (right in the Borla Drone sweetspot).
