Default Are "Dads" Great or what!

I called the body shop to see how much its gona cost to get my baby backand I got a little dissapointed. I was hopping to have it shot with several coats of clear. But when the org. owner pulled the factory wing hedented the trunk, besides all the holes he put in her half-as$installing the ducktail spoiler. I am changing spoilers. Cost more than I figured. I was org.having the rear bumper and front spoiler repainted along wth a few chips and a small ding repaired. Ended up being $2400.00. So needless to say I had to pass on the clearcoat. To pull the mirrors and door handles anddo it rightwas going to be another $1600.00. My Dad who is 73,calls me and we get to talking and I tell him whats up with the car. By the way, he really likes my car. He's a Ford Mustang Fan!.So this morningI get a call and its the body shop. They tell me myfather hastold them to go ahead with the full clearcoat on him. Dads,Gotta love em!

Dad's rule!

I remember back when my Dad was alive. I was driving a 3rd Gen F-bird that I ended up spining two bearings on. I put it in the shop to get it rebuilt, and when I got it back, it had the motor from a T-Type Regal swapped in, with new turbo and all at my Dad's expense.

My goal is to be that kinda Dad when I start having kids.

He is a great guy. We have always been great friends, besides father and son! I have a 19 year old son and I love to put a smile on his face the way my father has done for me. He races quads and needs about $1000.00 for a rear shock and linkage to finish buildinghis ride. He has about $16,000.00 in it now. I guess its my turn to my a son happy. This stuff really works out!
