This is with SLP loudmouths.

Put on my JLT CAI and used predator's built in tune, and its much much quieter than the 87 octane tune with stock airbox was...

Why is this? I ordered a custom tune from bama so will that get it loud again?

On my V6 with the stock intake/tune and MRT exhaustit sounded very loud and raspy as a result of the engine running on the rich side and the non agressive timing. When I installed the tune it made the exhaust sound a lot smoother and better IMO. This may be the case for you as well.

Yes it definately sound smoother and way less raspy.

I kinda liked the mean nascar sound of loudmouths with octane tune...

Hopefully the custom tune I ordered will give me some loudness back with this CAI installation

Mine also seemed a bit quieter but, after a few starts (10) it seemed back to normal.

Interesting... I went ahead and unplugged the battery, we'll see what happens.

These mustangs are one of those rare cars where an issue doesn't hurt the enthusiasm at all.

umm mine is much louder with the tune/cai.......without them my stingers sound just slighy louder than stock.

Again, it may be because the canned tune just ain't great. Who knows... Like I said I ordered a blama tune today.

And maybe unplugging the batt. will help.

Either way. This car rocks.

Any more input will be appreciated.
