driving with the hood open

RE: driving with the hood open
There actually is a risk of drying items out... More air than designed can travel down the engine and below and dry out axles or boots or whatever.
Its happened to people with aftermarket bumpers.
Ford designed these bishes like they did for a reason!
Ever notice many of the holes in the honey-comb stock grill are closed? Despite the radiator being behind it? Because Ford designed these things like it did for a reason -Controlled airflow!

A man I know had a 2001 GT. He was took it to a dealer to get a trade in price. After inspecting his car, he left the lot. He got about a mile down the road and the hood blew up and cracked the windshield and damaged part of the roof. The mechanic forgot to secure the hood all the way....needless to say he made the dealer buy the car for a higher price that he was offered elsewhere.

I guess this would be poor man's ram air.
Not a good idea at all.

I really hope your not saying putting a less restrictive front grille on is going to harm anything because I would really like you to justify this and break it down for everybody here.

Won't harm anything. Won't help either.
