Yeah, those bikes were crazy!!! Some little girl on a Hyabusa ran like 123mph [:-]. I was laughing at the ATV races...well, until one ran high 8's. Wasn't too funny after that!

Was it a pink Hyabusa? A girl last year was kicking *** out there. Those turbo bikes sound nuts!

and a big ol' LOL at the ATVs...yeah, that sucks.

Are you chirping 3rd at the track? Wondering if it's something I should look out for.

Yeah, it was pink and that girl was fearless!!!

I chirped 3rd twice, but I think I had already passed the 1/8 mile mark (right before the big time signs). I was shifiting around 6000-6200rpm's

You hit third before the finish. You're not in it long though. Everytime I went down that track, I wondered about people with bad brakes...you'd be totallyscrewed. There's no room for error there at the end.

You're not far off my times. I have the same problem with the spinning of the tires off the line and in 2nd gear. It looks like the cars are pretty consistant. My car is the 5745 on the left.

Thanks 05BlueGT and beautiful car! The only thing that kills me is that Response Time. Looks like you nailed yours!!! Any tips?

05BlueGT...yourtime slipgives me hope. I'm going to work my tail off on the launch and get my 60' down closer to 2.0 to maybebreak into the 8's. It seems possible, but it depends on thetires.

Don't look back in the 1/8!!! You'll be in the grass for sure at Union Hill...if you're not in a tree! That's after you clear a chain link fence...

Don't forget to turn that TCS off. Something tells me that leaving it oncould plant youinthe wall.

Reaction time doesn't matter. Clock starts when you do no matter how long you sit at the tree. Just don't hang out and look like an *** though.
Leave at the next to last light...seems crazy right? But, the time it takes you to leave is about the time between the last light and the light to go. You have to practice a lot to get it perfect.

It takes time for your car to squat on the springs, lift the nose, and bounce off the line. That's on top of your physical reaction time.

Also, don't pay attention to the guy next to you at the line. Watch the tree. People who watch other cars tend to redlight and/or lose races.
