Default Is the Navigation unit any good??

Is the FORD Navigation/DVD unit, as optioned in late Mustangs, any good? Any opinions on it? (Other than the unsightly antenna on the deck lid).

Worththe cost of having one retro fitted?

Thanks Guys

Marcus

No it's not worth it. Go aftermarket....Pioneer, Kenwood, Eclipse etc...

imo all the navis out right now seem a little gimmicky, but they are sweet in their own right.

I have the factory installed unit, works great in my opinion and I would buy it again. The antenna your referring to on the trunk lid is for Sirius radio, the navigation antenna is not visible, I assume it is in the dash.

The factory navigation system is networked through the car's BCM (Body Control Module). With that in mind, if your car didn't come with it from the factory, it is a HUGE PITA to retro fit one, if not impossible.

Go aftermarket if you don't have Nancy the Navigator installed from the factory.
