Default S197 Headlight Removal

Can anyone give me a few tips on how to remove my headlights?

I did a search, but didn't come up with anything pertaing to the later cars.

I plan to paint the buckets to match the body. I can't believe they're black.

At a glance, there aren't many fasteners visible.

Thanks in advance.

You have to remove the entire front bumper.

For all you needs... https://mustangforums.com/m_1019059/tm.htm

What a drag!

I may pass on the idea in light of all that disassembly work.

I just know the effect would be awesome.

Thanks just the same though.

You can all that BMW for the design. The 'catcher brackets' that are now common place on headlamps from every manufacturer are there toeliminate the gap betwen the bumper cover and the headlamp. BMW started the trend and since then everyone has followed suit because'panel gaps' became a big sore spot with regards to perception of quality.

Go buy any modern auto and you'llfind out that the front cover needs to be removed to replace theheadlamp on most ofthem.......at least on any that have a catcher bracket.
