..And they will probably mark these up like crazy just like every other "special" stang out now...whatever. I would love to have one if the price is reasonable.

Agreewith you. What does it matter to the average person if they come out with these "special stangs" if they limit the production and mark up the price beyond reason. I would love to have one but their dealer gouging is ridiculous. I invested some money in my ride to make it look like I wanted without paying the dealer gouge price for a "special stang". Just mod yours and it will be "SPECIAL"!

This looks like the same FRPP power pack as already installed on the Shelby GT. Why only +12 HP though when the Shelby GT is rated 319, only +12 HP sounds really low. Did they detune is a bit more to cut down on gas guzzler taxes?

There is only a small segment of themarket that is willing to spend extra thousands over MSRPfor a limited version. The morelimited versions are released, the faster you saturate that segment of the market. Once those people buy the 'special stang' they wanted, all of these versions will be selling for MSRP or lower.

If you really want a Bullitt edition or Shelby GT or GT500, etc.......then just wait a little bit. There are dealers selling GT500's around the SE Michigan area for $50K now......in another year they'll be selling for MSRP.

I'm not impressed...

They should offer the 3.73 and 4.11 as options on the standard GT. Along with everything thing else in the performance catalog.

While I agree with you from an enthusiasts standpoint, not sure how that would impact Ford. I am not knowledgeable about how the CAFE laws relate to optional equipment.....but 4.10 gears would greatly impact fuel economy. If Ford has to test and rate the Mustang based on all standard and optional equipment, lowering fuel economy by 2mpg in mixed driving would have a large impact across the board.
