A GT would rape a 330 I came from the E46 community and it was sad how poorly they took to mods. For I6s they come tuned amazing from the factory.
they take poorly to mods because BMW knows how to build cars

Start with a JLT 2 CAIand a tune from B A M Achips. I put it in last week and I jump at any chance my wife wants me to go get milk or run some errands. Actually I took on a Shelby GT today and pulled away from him. It was close but the tune made a difference. Welcome and dont feel bad, I got a Benz sitting next to mine in the garage.

You haven't 'come over the dark side'.
You've simply 'seen the light'.
Grats on the GT and have fun!

Thanks for the warm welcome...In answer to Eleanor's questions...330 vs GT...
The GT would leave my BMW in a 1/4 mile run...I read that the GTs are in the mid to upper 13's stock and my BMW would probably be around 15 flat.
What drew my son and I to the GT was the looks and after one test drive we were amazed at how well it handled and the potential we saw in the car. When we got
home we looked at mods for the car and came across this website. We're floored by the relatively low cost to get more out of these cars.
I have spent a ton of money on my BMW and we picked up around 20hp on the Dyno. BMW gets just about everything they can out of the cars before they hit the market whereas this GT looks like a modders heaven. I can spend around $700 and pick up 40hp...WOW !

My 16 year old and I are "drivers". He autocrosses and I help out at many of our driving schools with the BMW club. Our opinion is that the Mustang is a heavy car in comparision to our BMW but that it handles very well. It doesn't plow as bad as we thought it would and with some suspension mods it will be a world beater!
We look forward to our adventure.
If I would describe my cars in two words
BMW-Refined
Mustang-Brute

hey bimmer guy check out the shelby GT, I've only heard good things about that cars handling and you can buy the parts that they put on it from your Ford dealer (FRPP handling pack) Prepare yourself to be without money all the time[8D]

Welcome and congratulations! Take your time with the suspension mods. There are alot more choices out there for the stang than for the BMW. Talking to people on this and other Forums, as well as doing your own research,is time well spent so as not to throw good money after bad. Performance mods on these cars are easy as anyone here will tell you. Suspension mods, on the other hand, are very tailored to personal taste and needs, and can cost thousands to get it right. I suggest going for rides in other members' cars at local meets and such.

Enjoy your car and have fun here, it's a great place!

Thanks for the advice on the suspension. At this point I just want to lower it with springs...maybe Eibach like my BMW or maybe HR like I had on my last bimmer?
I just want a nice drop, not tuck and I don't want it slammed

Ford racing springs are what you need and you'll surely want the tokico adjustable shocks and struts( I have yet to get them myself). gives a 1.5 inch drop all around and keeps a little of the factory rake. A mustang is not supposed to sit level for goodness sake.
