Default Underdrive pullies for an automatic GT

Does anyone with an auto trans GT have underdrive pullies. I thought it would be a good mod to free up some HP on my car but was told that its not good on an automatic for some reason that I can't recall now.

have nothing to do with whether or not you have an auto or a manual, same effect. Not worth it imo, but you will have mixed feelings from all. But to answer your question, there is NO difference.

Thanks for responding jmk3. The reason I ask is that a very reputable shop told me that they are not good for autos. What he was doing was losing out on my business, so I am inclined to believe him. He wasn't trying to get rid of me or anything like that. He even gave me the grand tour of his shop and manufacturing facility. I just don't know why he says they are not good. Just hoping to get more responses and opinions.

How do you like your spyder DS? I was just checking out their web site and thinking of getting one. Did you install it yourself? Was it difficult? Can you feel much difference? Have you had it on the track?

There's nothing wrong with the UDP's. Try the search engine, there are dozens of posts. They will give upwards of 10rwhp, with no effect on drivability. I had them on my auto and they were noticeable.

Ive got them under the hood of my car. I cant give you very accurate feed back on just a pullie mod, cause I had them installed along with a water pump and 3.73's.
