Default Don't tint your car w/o Moleskins.

Hey, just wanted to throw this out there.

I got my car tinted, all windows, looks awesome for $179 out the door (3M product)

Its been about 2 months, the tint is scratched all up and down the main windows.
They are redoing it for free but I did order the moleskins and will be installing them before the new tint.

You get tint, save yourself the head-aches and get the moleskins first.

Same thing happened to me. I have to install it then get my windows retinted.

@ Canefan Its a felt type material that lines the inside plastic piece that seals the window. Its installed so that dirt and debris doesnt scratch the tint on the window when its rolled up.

^ Some people never will. It may have to do with the brand, darkness and thickness of the tint, so some people might not have problems based on their choices, but the majority will get scratching. Mine even has glazing and etching because its gotten so bad. Ive yet to pull off my tint, but I suspect when I do, that the glass will have to be replaced because of scratches to the actual glass.
