Default clear bra

anybody tried the clear bra for our cars? If so, what are the pros and cons of it, and where did you buy it, and how much did it cost?

thanks!

I have the Venture Shield clear bra. It covers the front, leading edge of hood, A-pillars, leading edge of roof, rocker panels, and top of rear bumper. Love the stuff!

Cons.....spendy []

Did you try Victoria Secrets or Frederick's of Hollywood? Whoooops…my bad…I think I misunderstood the question.

Scotty, out of curiosity, what'd they charge you for it? I'm assuming, of course, that you had it professionally installed...

Check this out:

http://www.clearmask.com/vehicle_page.php

My brother introduced me to the company. He purchased the ClearMask bra for his C6 Corvette.

Right before I took delivery of my Stang last year I placed an order with the company for the standard hood and fender kit + a free light kit. Less than $100. It comes with a DVD tuturial and all the required application tools.

I spent about 5 hours total on the install (learning curve) and it turned out great. I've now had it on the car for a year and am very happy. It's saved my car from quite a few rock chips (I live in Colorado).

My guess is if it was done "professionally" it would have run $300-400 (parts and labor)

Ive got it and it was custom cut for my bumper and fenders and hood, i also got some applied behind ea wheel and the only cons is that is really is costly but in the long run it saves you from repainting! ive seen some good scratches on the clear bra that would have made me cry if i didnt have it. Also do not wax the clear bra and when waxing the car leave a 1in space between the wax and clear bra just to be safe. To polish the clear bra use a product called plexus its designed for vinyl graphics and plastics like the clear bra

I have it onmy hood and leading edge of my front fenders. I love it! You should see the cars up here in Colorado that don't have it. The sand that they put down on the roads for ice traction absolutely chips the crap out of the paint on hoods and fenders. Great investment, it can be replaced easily if it gets chewed up.

I'm seeing that the biggest con is the price. But I was recently at the Ferrari showroom at the Wynn Casino in Las Vegas and I could easily tell which car had the "clear bra" as there is a less than clear reflection on the front when you look at the paint.
Is there a temporary clear bra that can be thrown on and taken off easily???
