Default More panhard bar problems......

Well my bmr adj. panhard bar is chewing up the passenger side bushing again. It doesn't seem possible for me to torque this thing to factory specs without bending the inner sleeve. The first bent sleeve was due to their instructions saying 140 ftlbs. The second set lasted much longer, but I assume the sleeve still got slightly distorted and is causing the same problem. BMR sent me new sleeves and new bushings, but this was my last set of bushings so i'm giving up and going to buy a Che bar and hope it has stronger sleeves.

None of the aftermarket bars have a metal sleeve anywhere close to the diameter of the factory one, why is that? Maybe I should just gowith dual rod ends and say *** it!

The Edelbrock panhard bar instructions say to only torque the bolts to 50 lbs (instead of the factory 129 lbs)

I see you have it so you should know. How do you like it? It's only $109 from jegs and can't be worse than the bmr crap!

I've had it on for about 4000 miles. Works fine. No complaints. What I really like about Edelbrock is they actually put a good set of instructions in the box with the part. Nothing pisses me off more than buying some hi-po part and finding no instructions with it. If you have pride in your merchandise, wouldn't you think that you'd want your customers to install it correctly? With most parts makers, apparently not!

Ive got the BMR panhard with the rod ends and it has been perfect. I did have some problems with the bushings on the lower and upper arm cracking. I called BMR and they said they had a batch of bad bushings. They sent me a whole new set of bushings over night and everything has been perfect since. Maybe youve got one of the bad batch of bushings.

Maybe so, but if so the original ones were bad and the ones they sent me as well. It will be coming off in a few days and put on the chopping block for cheap soon after.
