standard gearing and supercharger?
ordered car3 1/2 weeks ago told to expect 6-8 wks. was told by coworker that lower gearing not needed if going with a supercharger. have been reading alot of posts about lowering gearing and now wonder if i should have ordered the 3.55s. problably going with saleen with 475hp upgrade. did i screw up by not opting for the 3.55s or should i be okay? this will be street car only no track.

RE: standard gearing and supercharger?
3.55 or 3.73 is max on what I would go. I have 3.73 that came with the Saleen, once I put my Turbo on, I am think of going to 3.55. Some guys like the 4.10 with a F/I. IMO no more than 3.73

What kind of supercharger? If you are getting a twin screw you had better get the tire/traction issue well under control if you go with big gears. You'll spin tires even when you do not want to...

Yes make sure that you get the wheel hop under control, I would in the very near future upgrade that tin can $70 differential that Ford uses. It is well worth the money to immediately put diff, Ca's and wider tires that can handle the power. Trust me I know what I am talking about and speak from experience on this. I live in the desert, (NO Rain here). I nailed it once trying to blow off a Z06, needless to say I was winning until I ended up in the right hand lane due to torque steer. Not a good situation to be in and I scared the **** out of the passenger as well as me at the time. Get tires, get tires, get tires........then get Control Arms!!!!!!!!!!!!

RE: standard gearing and supercharger?
car ordered :07 gt vert manual talked to saleen today they will warranty 3/36,000 if i drive up to troy michigan for saleen supercharger and 475hp upgrade. so the saleen is the way i'm going. i still have an estemated 2 1/2to 4 1/2 weeks before car is delivered so basically i was going to call dealer and see if it was possible to update my order with 3.55s if that is definately the right way to go. i have a vin # for the car supposedly (wife didn't ask for # when dealer returned call) so i don't know what they'll say.
