Did you use lock-tite like the instructions said? This is the one thing they could have added to the kit. I mean if they are going to go to the trouble and cost of including the allen wrench....I'd rather have seen a small bottle of lock-tite over the wrench. I am very happy with my MGW shifter. Had a hurst on my earlier mustang and it was good also.
Yes, I used loc-tite on everything. I spoke with George several times and he said there's no need for loc-tite due to the supplied lock washers. I told him about all the splits in the in all the isolaters and he said it was ok, and thats how he designed it. I called it BS. They shouldn't be spliting and if they where to split, better not be after 100 miles. Bad design, some may not agree with me, but thats how it worked out for me, there no way in hell I was going to keep that pile junk in my car[:@]300 dollar shifter, or3,200 dollar tranny, you take your pick!
