Default Transmission

Has anyone had their transmission break? My 2005 GT manual 5-speed fell apart with only 1100 miles on the car. Has anyone else had this problem? Has anyone heard if this is a common problem? My car is stuck in another state while I wait for a new transmission to be shiped in from the assembly line.

Well, I got my car back. It seems that all the 5 speed trannies on that particular lot had a bolt "overtorqued" during assembly. I was 7 of 12 that have failed so far. I don't know how many were in that "lot" , but they pulled a new trannie off the line and I am back on the road.
