Doing Duplicolor Caliper Today....any tips?
Is there any tips I should be aware of while im doing this? Like how many coats? How thick each coat? How long in between? Should I work on other wheels while the others are drying?
Anything else anyone wants to shoot out there would be a great help. Thanx

I also used duplicolor....I had two coats on...wait about 1 hr between coats and go for it..it's pretty straight forward. Ensure you use the brake cleaner solution, to clean the calipers. I did not mask anything, but it may be a good idea. The caliper cleaning solution is pretty strong. One more thing, paint in a very well ventilated area or you'll have an unintended high.....
did you not mask just for the cleaner? orfor the paint as well?
Did you guys paint the entire caliper? or just the upper part and not the lower lip. Thanx

i used duplicolor engine enamel and engine degreaser and hot soap water to clean. two or three coats, 5 or 10 minutes between coats. the spray dries enough for a second coat pretty quick. after about 15 min on the final coat i CAREFULLY remounted the wheel and moved on. i did it one wheel at a time. i didnt paint the entire calliper, just as much as possible. i wrapped each rotor w/ newspaper, and taped it down to leave just the calliper exposed.
dont forget to go to xenonmods.com to get your calliper decals!

I just did mine last night and it took like 2.5 hrs to do all 4 calipers including applying the Pony decal. I really took my time, no tape used and I had a few small fine brushes I used instead of the inadequate brush they supply. Look for yourself, it really is a no brain-er.

you think i'll be able to add a decal in the future if I want to? Because I dont want to wait for one to get shipped, and I want to do them ASAP.
