I want to hear from the guys with black 05's and up about which tint they went with. I'm going to stay legal and do 35% on the sides, but am unsure if I should 15% or 5% on the back 3. Love to hear your thoughts and see some pics.

 

I got 3% all around. Looks Bad ***!

 

I have 20%. I did have scratching (common problem with S197s), so I installed moleskinon track(see Taco Bill's writeup). No problems since.

 

20% and added moleskin. Pics in my sig.
I like the look of a consistent tint all around.. not darker in back. The 20% is light enough for the police in my area.. and still very dark looking with the black car.

 

20%. 35% is legal around here. Do the moleskin!

Make sure you do the moleskins... I put them on and my tiny has stayed MINT. I have 20% all around. Plenty dark... maybe too dark. But from the outside, the car looks sick.

Thanks for all the great suggestions and the awesome pics. Your cars look great! I definitely knew about the moleskin and made sure that I found a tinter that would put it on the car. It's amazing how many places tell you that you don't need it because their tints will never scratch. I'd still love to see or hear from some with 35% on the sides and something darker on the back.

 

I am doing 20% on the sides and 5 % on the back window. I think that staggering the tint numbers is fine but I have 1/4 window louvers and they help get good separation on the car from the side and back windows. I will post pics when it is done sometime next week or the following. J

 

I have 15% all the way around.. 05 Black on Black.. looks sick.
