A tuned GT compared to a v6 vert. That is fair. Next up a Z06 Vette vs Mustang GT?

The problem is that you don't NEED 500, 300 250 or even 210 horsepower!
It's all just money down the drain when you're in stop and go traffic!

Its comparing apples to oranges to me! As you can see I have a GT but the V6 is a contender in the V6 arena IMHO. Later

i have a friend with a 6 and it keeps up with my roush off the line and after 50 i smoke him but street racing should stay under 60 anyways. All it had was a tune,CAI and cats. and it was auto. with a grand or so the 6 can be impressive. and if any one says you can buy a GT for a grand or so more im going to slap them. Mods are fun

Maybe you would have felt a little less difference if your GT was a stock automatic. Also, the V6 was a convertible, so doesn't that burden the V6 w/ another 2 or 3 hundred lbs.? For a fair comparison, it would need to be stock GT auto vs. stock V6 auto, etc. Even still, I'd be very surprised if the difference was very noticable!

well i had a choice between a black gt convertible and yellow v6, needless to say this color was much more appealing and if they had offered to paint the black gt that was discounted too in yellow, i would've taken it instead

What, they don't teach you that in school?

My point is, the performance gap between the V6 and V8 is a lot greater than I thought it would be. I never considered a V6 'Stang, so I never test drove one. The 6 is a great car for what it is, but Ford could have gotten it a little closer to the GT performance-wise, at least right out of the box.

The dealer I went to didn't even have a 6 banger. They had 20 GT's and a 500, but no 6's. That told me something.
