Default Good Colors?

My 2006 GT's exterior is completely stock and im thinking about doing a solid stripe or my own custom striping in photoshop and taking it to a local guy that does custom work. Anyway, It's dark grey and Ive always thought orange looked nice with silver/grey and I dont wanna go with what everyone else would do (Black). Any suggestions? Pic below.

There are two sites that let you try different combos of paint and stripes. The first one has stock 2005 body, but only has the '05 colors. The second one uses a picture of a Shelby, but has more colors:

I'd drop in a vinyl shop and check out their colors... photoshopping won't do it (only a general idea) because you monitor and printer or anyone elses technically aren't color calibrated... i'd have to see a good pic of the car to get an idea of what colors would look cool....

Judging by the picture, your paint looks to be Tungsten Grey. Def use the cobra link wthalliii provided, as the dark grey there nearly matches Tungsten. As for stripe colors, it's totally up to you. Even though it is more common, I opted for black just for the more classic look, but in looking at the site, the reds do look nice with Tungsten, as does the orange and blue.

Like I said though, it's your car so it's your choice. We can critique it all we want, but you're the one who has to live with it.

[sm=exactly.gif] I used the cobra link too. I think the orange looks pretty cool (racy as opposed to classic) with the grey. But then I'm a little partial to orange...

I added Slate Metallic vinyl stripes to the hood of my Tungsten Grey coupe. Being so close to TG, it is almost a ghost stripe, yet in direct light it looks like the photo below -

I got them from BSM...
