Where can I get 3M tape?

RE: Where can I get 3M tape?
ok, after a frustrating search I think I found something:
http://products3.3m.com/catalog/us/e...er/output_html
Check the photo. It looks like what we need, but I'm pretty sure the tape I had on my louvers was thinner than what they show in that photo, meaning not as wide. I don't know the thickness.
A search of "3M double sided tape" just got me 2 different types that have the red- MMM4010, which holds 2 pounds, and MMM4011, which will hold 5 pounds, but both are 1" wide. They're about $5 each or less.
I'm getting a rear decklid panel any day now and will look and measure what they are using at Wheelskin.com .
Some of that 3M tape is thick foam and used to attach heavy duty stuff, like running boards!

I like the WD-40 idea, also. I can work a spray can.
I just might try themall; heat, fishing line, dental floss and WD-40.A little overkill never hurt anyone.
Can I use Oops or alcohol then to remove the WD-40 because I will need to stick the scoop back on.

I didn't have any printing on my tape.
Orion_240, thanks for searching.

Can't trust eBay. Just the same old stock photos.
Here's photos of what was on my new blackout panel.
It's 7/8 inch wide and dark grey under the red peeloff part that has big "3M's" all over it.

RE: Where can I get 3M tape?
Just bought another roll last night at Home Depot. I use Scotch Indoor/Outdoor Super Heavy Duty Mounting Tape. It has a red backing. I've used it in my stang to mount all sorts of things. Hasn't failed yet.

RE: Where can I get 3M tape?
I just removed my spoiler and all I did was use waxed dental floss and slowly work it through the tape. I previously used the hair dryer method to remove the fake gas cap. The dental floss method was much easier and much faster. Once the part is removed you can easily clean up the remaining tape with any of the methods already stated.
