Hey Guys, I got my used 2010 Gt a couple of months ago and I love everything about it except its paint job. It's a two tone with black on top and the stock red on the bottom half with a 1/8 inch orange as the transition color. I was wondering if I could use black pinstripe tape to cover the orange line. Does this seem like a good idea or a disaster?
Sound like a good idea if you pick the right color. I think it might look more designed that way if the stripe was wider more like 1" to 1 1/2". If you use vinyl you should be able to put it on wet & take a look, & take it off if you don't like it. Find a friend with Photoshop & try putting some ideas on a picture of your car! Dumb ideas, but that's what I would try! The black is a neutral color so I would pick a stripe that would go with the red. Don't do something so thin & mild that looks an obvious coverup. Look at two tone Old Ford roadsters & see what goes with the red! See how the silver goes with the red below! I don't know what red it is, but pick a color that goes with it! Hope I gave you a couple ideas!
