I have read so much on this....just not sure where things are right now.
I work at a local dealership and I heard that the upgrade dash will be a rare thing of the past soon.
I own a 05 stang with the upgrade package...and love it.
I love to play with the colors. I guess time will tell if we will have rare vehicles.
I plan on driving mine for a couple of years then storing it.
Right now I just loving driving it...it is a 5 speed GT, Mineral Gray. with leather.
Got it for Christmas.
And I do know that the GT's are hard to find at this time, unless you have ordered one.

I hope this gets sorted before i order my GT! the interior upgrade i personaly think makes the car look a whole lot better with the alluminium dash finish

Do you think Ford would be interested in an idea to get around this law suit?
I have an excellent idea!! Do you think if Ford used my idea, they would offer me some sort of monatary offer?

hate to say this but i think the lawsuit is stupid. dont get me wrong, i am all for "the little guy" beating out the big corps - but i also dont like when patents are issued for such silly things. if i glued blue tracing paper to a flashlight, i doubt i would get a patent for ' new blue flashlight ' . so i know i sound like a jerk here but i dont think the idea is all that big a deal in the first place....

Well, I have my new GT on order. The DORA (Ford order) says on the bottom: INFO-18G Unavailable on all bodies; Recommend 18R
I got my DORA today! So, the dealer said this order will stay in limbo, either until I change it to 18R or the IUP becomes available again! So for now, I'll wait. I want MY GT, with MY options, in My color! Dam you FORD...

I had the same idea back in 1998. cept with better options and features. Why didnt the court do a cease and desist order at the factory thats installing this interior option? Or... is that the next step....
