Got my sct tuner from doug at b a m a a while back for my 06 gtvert auto. Couldn't believe the difference in throttle response and shifting. I ordered the jlt cai tuesday night and was surprised to see it at the door thursday evening. I installed it this morning with the new tunes. I wasn't expecting it to make a big difference or to sound that much different but boy was I wrong. My car growls like a beast. I've got a tank of regular gas now so I guess I'll have to go burn that out to try the other tunes.

I always wondered that....

When you guys are switching from an 87 tune to a 91-93, do you wait till your almost out of gas to fill it up with the other kind? Quarter tank? How important is it?

I have an 87performance tune /91 performance tuneand a 91 torque tune. I wait until I'm down to about 50 miles or less to go from the computer estimate and then fill up with 93 so I know I'm at least at 91.
And yes,you have to run at least what the tune designates or knocking will begin. Doug at B A M A told me theres not too much difference between the 91 and 93 tunes.
