First off let me say HI. I have been checking out the forums for a week or so and this is my first post.

I am a longtime Mustang owner/driver and am ordering a new 2008 GT on the x-plan. This is my first S197 mustang so I don't know a lot about these. I currently drive a black 2002 GT which I'm keeping.

Anyway, I can't decide between black or alloy. I have seen the black in person and love it but was thinking of going with something different and I thought the alloy might look good. I would appreciate any pics of alloy gt's for those who can post them. Either color, the car is going to get painted stripes -- either black on the alloy or silver on the black. So pics of anyone who has those color comboswould be great.

My dealer cannot give me a price on the 2008 to order it but he said he should have it in a couple weeks so I have some time to make up my mind on the color. These are the options I have picked for the premium gt. Any comments/suggestions/feedback on the options would also be appreciated.

Firstly, Hi from one newbie to another !!

Color choice is such a subjective thing so go with whichever you like the best - both of your choices sound good. As for stripes - photoshop will be your friend if you can't get a pic of the exact thing you had in mind, play around with colors, stripe width etc, etc

Options - definitely the interior upgrade, it brightens up the interior no end & the my-color option is cool - not to mention the full set of guages. The others sound good too.

Whichever way you go enjoy your new toy & don't forget to post some pics when you get it.

Both my father and I have 07's. He has an Alloy V6 Pony and I have a Vista Blue GT. His was off the lot, I ordered mine. Both have interior upgrade,His with the carbon fiber dash mine with brushed aluminum.Neither of us bothered with sirius ( i think it is pointless to pay for radio- and I'm loving the mp3 capable shaker 500.) I got the comfort group and the GT app package.I also upgraded my rims to the 18"polished aluminums, My Dad's over 70 by the way!

You may want to consider the new Vapor color. I haven't seen it yet, but it SOUNDS like a grey of some sort.

Your going to buy a 2008 mustang based on other peoples opinion on what color it should be????
I Think it should be Pink, With White interior,and Black mags, and a trailer hitch, Don't forget the Cobra R rear wing.

The 2008 Ford Mustang is a carry over from the previous year with a few option additions and changes that I will breakdown. For the exterior paint three new colors are added and three are going away, Silver Clearcoat Metallic (YN)is replacing Satin Silver, Dark Candy Apple Red Clearcoat Metallic (JV)is replacing Redfire and Vapor Clearcoat Metallic (ZY)is replacing Tungsten.
