I am a 20 yo college student and am perfectly fine paying my rent, car payment, insurance, AND modding my car.

Tuition = scholarship
rent = $1475 /2 = $738/month
Car = $440/month
insurance= $300/month

I wont include my water/electric/cable/phone bill but you can do the math.
I would say roughly $5K into my car at least

I am doing perfectly fine, with no help from my parents. Just because we are college students doesnt mean we cant work 40 hours a week and earn a living. Maybe you shouldnt pass judgement so fast. I even have money left over to take my girlfriend out to dinner, and put gas in my car! Imagine that!..
