I beat one a couple of weeks ago, rolling start about 45 mph. I hit the nitrous and left him in the dust!

The STi is pretty sweet. If it had been available when I bought my 02 WRX I would have got one instead. AWD driving is a damned good time. Even better is AWD in the weather. And getting greater performance out of these cars is pretty easy. Just a catless downpipe and exhaust with some EM and you have a real beast on your hands. Even the WRX is easy to make faster (same changes, or for another $2k you can upgrade the turbo add injectors and a fuel pump and turn up the wick... lets not even mention putting a FMIC on and an even bigger turbo...)...

But it isn't a Mustang. But then the Mustang isn't an AWD rally car. But then the WRX isn't a 300+ hp pony car...

Oh wait... the only thing they really have in common is thier shaft rated HP numbers... geeze... what was I thinking? Might as well compare an F-150 to the Dodge Magnum...

Euro Impreza's are quicker. Depending on who you buy it from we have specilist editions avilable with over 400hp 0-60 3.5 seconds. Spec -c is 320 hp in a lighter car. Not sure they would sell as well out there due to different market tastes you guys seem to like all the leather nad gadgets where as in the UK they would rather dump all that in favour of more go.

Why does everyone think the STI is so light? It's not that much different. I actually think it's kinda heavy for the size of the car.

2007 Mustang GT curb weight = 3,575 lbs
2007 Impreza STI curb weight = 3,351 lbs
