First, Sorry about your knee, hope you get better soon.

Yes, but it was the wife. She took the Mustang out, it is a 5 speed and she is not just to driving a stick. Well burn out in the driveway for about 3 feet. Man it was weird.

Sorry about your knee and get well soon. I have experienced it when my brother and I traded cars. I was driving his Bullit and he had my stang you should have seen all the looks he was getting.

I did sort of while at the dealers. We had just bought the GT, and the car wash/detailer girl was taking it down to fill up the gas tank. She got on it for about 1/2 a block and my wife and I just looked at each other and a weird, sick smile cameover both our faces.

Hey, Mike, that sucks not being able to drive that beautiful 'stang of yours. Getting old does suck for sure. I read this somewhere: Inside an old body is a young body saying, "What the hell happened!?!" Hey, maybe you'll just have to buy an auto to drive while you're recuperating!

All,
I truly appreciate all the well wishes....Hurtin likea SOB this morning, gotta get in to see the Dr. and I am afraid it might be surgical in nature....We shall see.....

Bill, I like that idea. I wonder if the other half would part with her Escape in favor of a nice auto....???? I just hope that my experience with driving next to my Stang yesterday isn't a swan song......I cannot stand the thought of being away from her for extended time. I have mods and a tune on the way, and this is definately cramping my style......[:'(][:'(]

Thanks again guys and girls, this place is a great support staff, and much appreciated.....

I was affraid that my new Corsa exhaust was just a touch too quiet for me (as it is fairly subdued inside) so I had a buddy do a few drive bys in an industrial park at different throttles ... I can honestly say it's not too quiet. If you haven't heard your exhaust in a drive-by, have someone do it for you!!! I nearly popped a tent when he was in the upper rpms and accelerating away.

That was my only experience with someone else driving my car and me not in it and I was waaaay to busy listening to really notice.

Sucks about the knee though [:'(] Hope you get better.

Ouch.
Sorry to hear about the knee.
I have a goofed upleft knee as well and, knock on wood, I've been very lucky with it lately.
If it blows out, I may actually try a broomstick on the clutch pedal.
But I got to watch my wife drive mine a few weeks ago and I was quite impressed (she didn't even stall it once!).
However, I came away determined to replace the stock mufflers.
While they sound fine to me, they look like crap back there!

There was a thread awhile back that had spreadsheets showing the production numbers on 2005 models. I don't know if there was one on the newer models or not. I'll have to search around.....
