Roush aluminum driveshaft???
I just got a call from the shop. they ended up replacing the serpentine belt with a shorter one.
While on the phone with them they told me they got in stock 5 roush aluminum driveshafts (1piece).
I didn't even know that roush has built a 1 piece aluminum shaft for 05-07 mustangs.
Can anyone confirm this?
Supposedly they're about 17lbs.
That would be a good deal at $599.

RE: Roush aluminum driveshaft???
hmm. i just checked their website and it is not aluminum. it is a competion driveshaft made of steel. 3.5' diameter.
wheighs 26lbs. they have it listed at $805. I wonder how the hell was this guy from the shop willing to sell it to me for $599???
must be some piece of crap that they got stuck with or something like that...

RE: Roush aluminum driveshaft???
I would first want to know who REALLY makes the DS to be able to know if it's any good. Most Roush parts are licensed repackaging of something else, i.e. their brakes, CA's, springs, etc, etc.
That seems very pricey for a steel DS. You can get a shop to make you a decent steel 1-piece for the $300-400 range.
I think the best deal out for a DS is the spydershaft IMO.
