Microfiber cleaning

RE: Microfiber cleaning
Wash them in cold water!!! The hot water caused them to shrink, reducing absorbency... Usea cup o'white distilledvinegar in the final rinse, it breaks down the *mild detergent* you usedand makes em' fuzzzzy again. Applicators and microfiber are senstive and need to be washed gently.

I wash mine by hand(with a non-liquid detergent-just a habit, most liquid detergents have more chemicals than dry detergents) and I dry them on either low(if I'm in a hurry) or let them air-dry.
Yes, ripping the tags off is the first thing you should do(if the towels have tags). You want to keep the towel as chemical free as possible(other than car care product chemicals it's designed to work with).
I also designate my towels, you know, the same one for detail misting, ones for removing wax, others for polishing and drying, that way I don't end up with whatever residue(that washing can't remove) mixing with the task at hand(just a paranoid precaution).

I use Tide or even my dishwashing detergent and soak them in the kitchen sink for 15 min.Rinse 'em good and put each one on a hanger. They dryquickly. Iget no residue when I use them.
They are awesome for your glass. Clean your glass with paper towels, then a quick wipe down with the micro - no streaking!

RE: Microfiber cleaning
Mine have started to leave a lot of lint, it sounds like from this thread, they must have accidentally been thrown in the dryer and probably with fabric softener. Rats, I'm going to have to get new ones aren't I? [:@][:'(]

All good answers.
Ive used minimal laundry detergeant, warm cycle. Air fluff in the dryer for 10 minutes, and hang them up on a hanger. 18 months of ALOT of washing/detailing and they are still like new.
