Vortech supercharger

Vortech supercharger
OK Im really confused about this issue. I keep reading that these blocks/internals are only good to about 415HP. My question is If I put on long tubes/X pipe Im hearing that you get approximately 25HP. Now if I go and put on a Vortech in addition, wont I be over that rating of 415HP and be in the danger zone. I would like to know because Im going to do the headers soon and would like to do the blower within the year.

A reputable tuner in my area who use to push the Vortech S/C.said the Vortech makes the 6 and 8 cylinder run hotter.I'm not a motorhead and have no idea why this would be but that's how he explained it to me.Might want to do your due diligance before dropping alot of money on a S/C.

the blocks on these cars car capable of 700+ hp... its the rods, crank and pistons that are the weak link. 450RWHP is the generally accepted level of "safe" but it's all in the tune. get a good tuner and you'll be fine...
I'm running a Vortech H.O. set up @ 435 RWHP on a Mustang Dyno.
GOOD LUCK

For what its worth, Justin Burcham is a leading drag race figure. He has several stangs including a Procharged 05 GT. I talk frequently with a guy from ProCharger and asked him how long Justins car held up before the engine blew up and was rebuilt with stronger guts. Justins car was pushing 13-15 psi, 4.10 gears, drag radials, and tuned within an inch of its life, to put out well over 500hp to the wheels. He made approximately 25-30 runs down the 1/4 and who knows how many dyno pulls. The car was rode hard, obviously, in an attempt to see how far it could be pushed. That was the limit on his car. The pistons were the first weak spot on his car to rear its ugly head. Now hes doing 9 sec 1/4's with his beefed up drivetrain. All I've heard about stock limitations, are from 450rwhp and higher is where the longevity question comes into play. But it also depends on how you drive it. If you play hard, it'll cost ya sooner. I really dont think you have anything to worry about at 415. I'm still under 6k mi on mine, but no signs of trouble yet for me.
