Passenger Seat Height
way old bump... .wondering if anyone ever tried getting the "comfort package" parts for the passenger seat.... not only does the fiancee say its "too low" but its not nearly as comfortable as the driver's seat? Thx!
My wife sewed herself a nice bag that holds a lap blanket (you know, the kind with the fringe on the ends), zipper closure. it's comfy and raises her sufficient to dispel the claustrophobic feelings she had. One adjustment: sewed some of the "hook" part of Velcro™ strips on one side so it wouldn't slide around on the (cloth) seat.
I like Ace Guy's method of raising the seat above the tracks with washers. Maybe I'll try that when it cools off a bit around here.

I had the same problem.........my wife is 5'2" and also complained about the low seat. I checked on buying a passenger side power seat but it looked like it was going to cost about $400 or so. We solved our problem by purchasing a seat cushion at Pep Boys for about $10that sits on top of the bucket seat and raises her about 2". The one we bought is black and with our dark charcoal leather seat is not very noticable. It tapers to the front......it doesn't fit all the way to the front edge and itonly fills up side to side the inside portion of the bucket seat but she is very happy with it.
I have done this upgrade to my 2006 GT. It’s not cheap, but having a happy spouse makes double the price a bargain to me. There is also a bit of cutting and splicing needed with the new seat harness (I didn’t want to cut up the car harness). A 2007 might be easier since this is a 2007 harness listed below.
Once you have spliced the connector from the old harness to the new harness (just match the colors), you will end up with 3 large wires with no home. They are the power wires for the seat. One is for ground, one is for the power seat and the other is for the seat heater. Ignore the seat heater wire. I ran the power and ground to the driver’s power seat. You could also go directly to the fuse box if you wish.
The rest of it is install is bolt in.
Here are the parts you will need:
7R3Z*6361710*A Seat Track
7R3Z*6362186*BC Shield Assembly
7R3Z*14A699*DA Wire Harness
5F9Z*14A701*AA Switch Assembly

Hey Ron,
How much did that run you? Also, was that absolutely everything you needed, or did you leave out things you thought you didn't need. Has it been working out fine so far? I'm trying to obtain some seats from ebay, and both sets have the SAB in them, so I think the install may be a lil' more complicated, because of the SAB sensor and components. Let me know what you think. Also, has anyone with an '07 attempted this yet? I'm worried because one of the two sets of seats I found are off an '05 GT. Not sure about backward compatibility. Thanks!
