Aftermarket Seats w/ pics?
Most people havent done them unless it is a race car due to not being able to bypass the side airbag and passenger seat airbag sensors. I have seen a few people take the stock seat frame and do custom foam and upholstry though
At Galpin Auto Sports I sat in the 4 seats they had for sale. I liked the Recaros the best, as they had lots of adjustability and the highest quality. But when they told me the price [

I just swallowed and moved on!

Here are my pictures with Recaros installed:
Also my wife purchased them through On Track Performance. They told her they had good install instructions which they did Not. I still have the airbag lights on the dash showing up so make sure you buy through a dealer that knows what they are doing.

You will have the airbag light pop up regardless of what the brand is or who the retailer is. The sensors are in the seat. There are a few threads about this and unless you have a way to put the sensor in the new seat then you will have no passenger side airbag working. I would hate to be a passenger in your car knowing that the airbag isnt on. That plastic dash wont feel good on the face
There is a solution to fix the airbag sensor that the BMW community has been using over on Bimmerforums. The high end installers also know ways around it.
At this point I've just reconciled myself to ignoring the light as most cars didn't have passenger side airbags untilafter 1990 or so and people did just fine. To each their own.
