do you drag race w/ TCS on or off? i have only raced w/ it off, just curious if it makes the car slower in the 1/4 mile or if it makes any diff

I know somone that made two passes, TCS on and off as the only variable. There was no significant 1/4 mile change.

 

Back when I had only a CAI and tune I discovered that the car would fall flat on it's face going into 3rd during WOT. It would just die for a second then go again. I shut the TCS off and discovered that it was barking the tires going into third. After playing with high torque big blocks all my life I NEVER would have guessed that this little 281 was going to bark the tires going into 3rd with 3.55 gears. That's why I said to turn the TCS off. I see your car has 4.10 gears which means the TCS is more likely to shut off your throttle for a second after a shift the way mine did so based on what my car did and yours with the 4.10's I would say you need to go down the 1/4 mile with the TCS off.
A little wheel spin going into 2nd or 3rd is not going to slow you down as much as having the TCS slam the throttle shut for a second.

I've done it both ways. TCS on is less than a tenth difference. But i still turn it off

 

off unless you wanna fry your clutch you can smell it with it on, dont race with it on
