Default Functional Hood Scoop

Now I'm not planning on doing this, but I was just wondering if it were possible to turn the factory hood scoop into a functional one by dremeling out the honeycomb (so its not solid), cutting out the bottom, and then running a vent down to the intake.

It just kinda bothers me that the scoop's not actually an intake.

I would screw it to the hood if you are goint to do that. It will have alot more force from the wind going in it and I am not sure hoe double sided tape would hold up to that.

I don't think I'll actually do this to my hood, I was just curious to see if anyone thought it would work

What would it feed? You'd have to plumb the hood scoop to the air filter somehow to see any practical gains(and only at speed would it make any sort of worth while effect). You'd be better off getting a ram air hood for functional purposes IMO

+1

I reccomend you get the fiberglass roadster hood and get it painted then, sell your GTAP hood on ebay.
It's worth more unmolested.
