is a throttle body worth the upgrade for a 2006 mustang gt? It says its a BBK 62 mm Throttle Body and it supposedly adds 15-20 HP. Do these work this well? Are they worth it for $300?

 

I've heard mixed stories about it. Some say its worth the money, others say it doesnt help at all. I dont have one so cant really help you. Hopefully people with one or have had experience with one can chime in and help you.

 

if you arent heavily modded then a TB is not going to do anything for you.....and only get a GT500 TB because most all aftermarket TBs have serious problems with them.

 

DO NOT GET AN AFTERMARKET TROTTLE BODY!!!!!!!!! I have had three bad ones from G.M.S. and gave up and got my money back! It will not make a noticable differance on a stock Mustang and is not worth the fu#*ing headache!

the BBK's seem to work and the GT500 (truck) is obviously plug-and-play, but unless you've got a good intake/exhaust setup it's not going to do a whole lot. It's more of a supporting mod.
