hey guys..

just got back from VMP tuning in debary, Fla. to get a custom tune and dyno.. results are awesome!!...

i will get the sheet up later.. but heres the numbers for now..

with cut outs closed.. b4 the tune
he said i ran 284 i think it was..

after he tuned it.. i ran.....

Cut outs - CLOSED
-289.05 if im not mistaken..

Cut outs - OPEN
-291.91 ... so the cut outs DID help


torque...

was around 311.. cut outs didnt effect it..

i will get the sheet up soon.. he is going to send me a link so i can post it..



if you are thinking about doin this, i highly recomend Justin at VMP.. they were very friendly, informative.. and i learned some stuff by just watching them..

some thing else that i found out, was that Justin worked for SCT before, and has been doing this now for 2 years..

so i think the guy knows what he's doing with the SCT background..

Nice numbers, 300 rwhp is a mod or two away. Now that Justin's tuned your car I won't want to race you again[8D]By the way those cut outs sound great.

This is great news....I just received my 91 performance tune from Justin today. Want to finally compare tunes.....

All loaded, ready to go...Now, if I could just drive.....[:@][:@] Fricken knee, haven't driven her in about 10 days, and I am going stir crazy!![:'(][:'(]

haha mlcrycc.. i can only imagine the agony.. sorry to hear about the knee..

Flapony- ya we will deffinately have to run agian.. i ran my freinds stock GTO 06 automatic twice.. the first time, from a 20 roll.. i kept up wiht him, no gain on his part..(but later he tells me he wasnt flooring it, which i dunno about that bc i saw his car slam into 2nd.. )
then the second run on I-4.. i dropped down to seocnds at about 45 and was allready about about 5k rpm.. so i F-ed up there.. but some how, i still, honestly, pulled maybe 2 cars on him and held it..

he tol me that he WAS flooring it on I-4.. and i was grinning the whole night considering he was just saying earlier that he didnt think i could even catch up.. so we both decided to run evenly at the track.. (but im nervous about that track still.. )

ps.. we gotta hit up that casselberry meet some time soon..

What was done tothe car when it was first dyno'd? 284ish seems high for stock? If you already had the SCT on it, who had tuned it prior? Did the C&L come before or after the VMP tune? I am just kind of lost...5 rwhp does not seem like much from stock, but I can definitely see wherean extra 5rwhp would be great over a mail-order tune or something.
