glasspacks are about as old school muscle car as you can get. Im young, and I like obonxiously loud exhaust so SLP loudmouths and glasspacks are what I like. they give a reall mean sound, even if youdont have a mean car

THRUSH, and the "Woodpecker". I'm not sure what effect they would produce, on an aluminum block 3V motor. I do know back in the 60's-70's, they were awesome ! Of course, theywere the only choices. Basically.
DRONE, is the factor, we all have to deal with in any aftermarket exhaust system.

so i read the place of the muffler is why the car drones so bad...so if the muffler was moved back closer to the cats, would the drone be gone? would it sound a but more muscly? I have an MRT, so if i went to a shop and had them move the aeroturbine towards the cats, would it lose the drone and be louder/deeper?

My magnapacksare after the cats and the h-pipe toward the rear of the transmission (one on each side) and they had slight drone at 1800 rpms. Now maybe my driving style is different this year but the drone is gone. I am sure placement is everything in relation to drone on our stangs. RememberI do have side exhaust though. JMO -I know mine is loud and deepat WOT and subdued at idle and cruising. I love the sound!!!!!

Soundclips for glasspacks? I'm way curious.

Is the muffler placement the reason the New Edge Mustangs exhausts sound different?

Example: New Edge V6: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t45WWwCvjMY
partly...but all engines will sound different and small exhaust changes can change a tone drastically....plus that specific car has p&p heads and a pretty aggressive cam, somebody posted the specs of it on another copy of that video.
