I dunno but I see on all of yalls mods about exhausts like cat backs, I have a v6 and I took it down to a local muffler shop and they put a glass pack on there and it was only $60 bucks and its loud as hell, j/w what yall thought about them and stuff.

 

they sound alright, some people think they sound funny, but honestly i kinda like them

 

what is a glass pack? ive heard of them but never really looked into it

 

all i know its loud idles loud and was only 60 bucks sounds good to me but yall all know 10000 times more than me about this stuff

I have read that because of the rear placement of our mufflers, glass packs drone like a mother.

Glasspacks are a straight-through "muffler". They have no baffles. The inner wall is perforated. The space behind the holes is filled with fiberglass. Once the fiberglass breaks down, the car will sound like a rednck's pickup truck. Real "blatty", if that's a word.

One brand I can think of is Cherrybombs.

Is the muffler placement the reason the New Edge Mustangs exhausts sound different?
