I'm new to the forum, and looking to buy an '07 GT Convertible. Anything I should be aware of? What's a realistic price I should pay? Last time I bought a car the dealer dropped $7k without me even asking.

I've got an appointment Sunday to drive one, and any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

They leak like asieve and ther is the dreaded chuckle
in the front end along with the fuel fill problem.
Other that that.....
You will most likely get the "these are
popular cars and we cant go much
below sticker + any rebates" spcheal.
But hey if you got $7K below sticker
last time, maybe you have a chance.

THEY WILL TRY AND SELL YOU IT FOR WHAT THEY ARE IF IT IS POSSIBLE. USUALLY THERE IS ONLY A 3,200 MARK UP ON THE MSRP AND THE COST NOT COUNTING ANY ADEM THEY ADDED THEMSELVES. NEVER PAY FOR THEIR ADEMS. IF THEY CAN'T REACH YOUR PRICE AFTER LOOKING AT YOUR CREDIT AND KNOWING YOU CAN BUY SAY THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND GET UP WALKING TO YOUR CAR (SLOWLY) IF THEY STOP YOU OR RUN AFTER YOU THAT MEANS THERE IS STILL MONEY ON THE TABLE. WAIT UNTIL THEY DON'T CHASE AFTER YOU ANY MORE, THATS WHEN YOU KNOW YOU GOT THE CHEAPEST PRICE. THEN YOU SAY YOU WON'T A LOWER INTEREST RATE. THEY USAULLY HAVE A 2 POINT INCREASE IN RATE. NEVER PAY FOR PRICE ON WARRANTIES THEY ARE NOGATABLE AS WELL. THEY USAULLY RUN ABOUT 800 FOR A 6YEAR 60,000 MILE WARRANTY. THEY ONLY THING YOU REALLY NEED IT THE GAP INSUARANCE.

 

they offered me 27 on my gt and the sticker was 28900 so i walked out, went and ate lunch with a friend then came back and said i found one for 26500 with the extended warantey and said if they wanted my buisness i want the car for 25000, they replied with 25500 with the 7 year warantey and i drove home that night with it.
