people talk trash because thats how they show how jealous they are of you. man dont worry about what people say. there are more people out there that like stangs more then there are that dont.

Today at work I ordered some parts for a guy's 96 T/A. We got to talking and my 07 GT came up...he says "I don't like the way the headlights look"...I said "All you've got to worry about is the way the taillights look..."

300hpand20mpg. Gas is getting mighty expensive. I'd rather have a technologically superior vehicle these days. New GT=25k+2k for supercharger and will roast any old musclecars. I looked at old hotrods out of nostalgic value before purchasing my 07' GT, but the $$$ per hp/performance numbers never quite matched up...

Earlier this evening I was reading about the 1966 GT-350's, the car which mine is patterned after. They ran 0-60 in 6.6 seconds. I have seen 1/4 mile times for mine anywhere from 5.0 to 5.4 seconds. Actually, it is quicker than the '69 - '70 Boss 302 in the 1/4. Plus, mine is quieter, handles better and is more luxurious. 'Nuff said!

A 13 second car is fast, no matter what period in time your talking. Chevy made two Chevells that would run 13s in stock form back then and one that would run 12s.
396 -375 hp, 454 , I think it was 385 hp and a Yanko that was 450 hp 454.
396/350 or 396/325 hp versions would be lucky to get 14.50.

chevy didnt make the yenko. yenko was a dealership that ordered copo (centeral office production order) cars and in their shop they put on the parts to bump up the power and ride and they added the stripes. thats why finding a true yenko camaro or chevelle or whatever is so hard.

yes our headlights suck compared to those awesome 80s style pop-ups that quit working in 20K miles and clunk like a hammer hitting a trash can everytime you put them down. I had a T/A, and I remember how embarassing those crap-*** lights were.

This is funny, the V6 version is a better car than most old muscle cars. You want to talk about getting disresected....I'm running 14.4 in the 1/4 with a N/A 6 banger and lots of the big block wouldn't hit that.
I was talking to a guy who had a 1968 GT 428CJ that was documentedDRAG car, the best the car ever did was a 13.8.
Technology is a bizatch....not to mention the way these cars handle and BTW you can kick the air on and in case things go bad you have anti-lock brakes and airbags.

Why is it whenever someone rides in my car they have to mention their old muscle car and how it will run circles around my stang. Do they ever look at quarter mile times of the STOCK old muscle cars or the 0-60 times as compred to the new STOCK stang? Lets face it, There is ugly hate out therefor the car. God forbid i bring the car in the shop for an oil change or something. All my fellow techs in the shop now consider a piece of crap cause it's in the shop with 12000miles on it. Do any of you experience this dishonor to your stang?
