THats a good time for fontana, what are your mods, and yes the wind is crazy there and 1121.27 ft above sea level isnt helping

i live in the sgv in so cal the closest track is Fontana speedway. everyone was running crappy times examples new c6 z06 13flat. a saleen blown S197 with 4.10 and slicks ran 13.5. Evos n Sti's were running 14 secs all day long.Crap honestlly i am afraid of running there.
I've run there a few times, my first trip(and first time at any track) I ran a 14.9, 2nd time there I ran a 14.0(in a 40 mph headwind!). Last time I went I was able to run a 13.7 under great 60 degree weather and I'm going in two weeks(the 30th) and see what it'll do now that I've lowered the rear with Roush springs. Fontana(and the Inland Empire in general) is very susceptible to high winds and bad air(all of L.A.'s smog bottles up out there by the mountains). I've seenLS-1s run 11's(on the bottle)and S/C'd S197s run 12's in crappy conditions, then again, these aren't professional racers and I'm certainly no John Force[:@]......

hey guys i was watching this dvd that came with mustangs and fast fords. and i was wondering how in the hell they got a bonestock 06 5 speed to run a 13.3 and a 13.4@103 mhp. the only thing is it had a functional ram air hood, can that be why its running that fast and the fact they have a damn good driver?
Well, out here at 5800ft,that would be about 14.5 or 14.6. I had a friend do a 14.5 in his 06. It's supposed to be a 13.3 or so at sea level. He's an incredible driver though. Those times are about right

These cars have no trouble running mid to low 13s on a good track with a decent driver. I even saw a time slip awhile back of someone who ran 12.9 stock, the same day he bought the car.
That must have been a perfectly prepped track, great 60ft and steady smooth shifting! Wow, if that's true!
