Well, if the cops around you are like the ones here in Orlando, they are moving to laser, which means a radar detector is pretty much useless.

Anyone heard of this company?

I like the fact that the radar's not sitting out in the open and can be built in to the car's dash, but I wonder if it works. *IF* I were to get a radar detector, I'd want a system like this...

The best cop detector is your eyes.
Sometimes glasses are also needed.
Being aware of the surroundings when
driving. The cops here dont hide when
doing a speed trap but park in plain
sight as a warning to slow down. If
you dont slow down then a ticket
will be written.

Well, also, if you KNOW that there's been a lot of cops patrolling in one particular area recently, and you may not see them in their usual spots, they MIGHT BE HIDING SOMEWHERE ELSE TO NAIL YOU!!! A white BMW found that out yesterday when he was tailgating me, and I was pulling 70 mph. I pulled over to get off the freeway on my way to work, and the A-hole does a flyby at upwards of 80+ mph...And so did the CHP officer that was sitting on the side of the onramp. I don't care if you've got a radar detector, if you swerve around traffic and decide to haul @$$, you're probably going to get a well-deserved ticket for it!

I currently have the Bel RX65 and love it. My prior detectors were the Bel 735i and some whistler and cobra ones in the mid 90's. I learned my lessons after poor experienceswhistler and cobra. They're great if you don't want to spend $100, but the quality is not really there. Your first ticket with a whistler or cobra will pay for a Bel or even a Passport or V1... think about it

I say go with the 9500i. I love it...that thing is amazing. I've had the 8500 X50 and the V1(both are great radars). I gave the V1 to my dad and took the 8500 x50 from him and since I have a friend that works at sharper image (where I bought it) he told me to say it was broken traded it in and upgrade. I paid $130 for the upgrade that includes 3 yr warranty...helps to have friends in high places [sm=smiley4.gif]
