Default Dumb Move

Yesterday I left my window during a rainstorm. I woke up this morning and my carpet is wet. Eveything else looks OK. This was on the drivers side. Any special precautions I spoke take after the fact. I tried to soak up as much of the water as I could. Should I remove the door panels to see if water is in there?

I would park it some place open up the doors and put a few fans facing in to the car and let them dry it out..

Take it to the dealer and blame it on "the leak" the mustangs have. LOL jk

As long as there's no standing water (wet to the touch, but not a small swimming pool on your floor), I don't see a problem with just leaving everything open in the sun to dry out. It probably won't hurt anything, as long as this isn't something that happens regularly.

New car should be here within 24 hours or so. I just have a newbie/dumb question for you that goes along with this.

I'm getting a vert, all leather interior. If I say, go into a store and leave the top down and before I come out it rains a bit, am I pretty much screwed? I mean, is it going to ruin everything? Obviously I'm not going to do it when the sky is black, but here in upstate NY it's not uncommon for it to start sprinkling for a few minutes when the sky is bright blue with big fluffy clouds.

Any answers would be great

I once left my integra's sunroof open overnight with it pouring rain ALL night.

It was soaked completely the next day.

I used a wet/dry shopvac and kept it in the sun with everything open... Everything seemed OK once it was dry.
