New car should be here within 24 hours or so. I just have a newbie/dumb question for you that goes along with this.

I'm getting a vert, all leather interior. If I say, go into a store and leave the top down and before I come out it rains a bit, am I pretty much screwed? I mean, is it going to ruin everything? Obviously I'm not going to do it when the sky is black, but here in upstate NY it's not uncommon for it to start sprinkling for a few minutes when the sky is bright blue with big fluffy clouds.

Any answers would be great
Maybe this is just me, but even when I just go into the store, I put the top up. With the power tops it doesn't take that much time, and I figure a few extra seconds > ruined interior.

If you or a neighbor has a "steam cleaner" you can use that to get up most of the water - It happens, don't beat yourself up!

Take it to the dealer and blame it on "the leak" the mustangs have. LOL jk
I agree....What's the worst that can happen?

Cars can get a little wet, just don't try to be James Bond and drive under water. If you let it dry good, it will be fine.

There was this crazy car guy where I live that would pull the entire interior out of his car every summer - seats, carpet, door panels. Then, he'd set them out on his driveway, shampoo, scruband hose it all down. That worked very well, as long as he waited long enough for it to dry before he put everything back together. Otherwise, I... er, I me HE... would get his clothes wet when he drove the car.

If electronics get wet, the most important thing to do is wait until there's no visible moisture before trying to start the car. But, that's not going to happen unless it's a very, very heavy rain.

It actually was a very heavy rain, the hardest we have had in a while. The only thing other than the carpet that appeared to get wet is the drivers side speaker.
