Default Taillight Trouble

Has anyone tried changing out a tail light yet? for some reason when i try to undo the nut it doesn't move at all and the whole assembly just spins, where i think the inside bolt is supposed to remain stationary. Anyone else having trouble with this or an easy fix?

I had no trouble getting the assembly off at all. My only complaint was having to unbolt the Shaker 1000 sub and totally move it out of the way to get to the farthest over bolt of the tail light. I'm sure the ears of the engineer that designed that were ringing from all my yelling about him, lol.

You're talking about the plasticwing nuts? Ours did that, if I remember correctly they sort of pull out and snap back in but seem to serve very little purpose because they just spin - but if you are talking about the 3 - 11 screws on each side... ours were in tight.

OK, sorry - can't help you there, ours were "fixed" and worked like they should... did you drop by the dealers?

I know what you are talking about and Yes i had the same problem when I went to change mine out...all the other nuts were fine but one of them just kept spinning around and wasnt even loosening up. There are two options: cut it out, which i dont suggest, or use some needle nose pliers......what u do is get the pliers and hold the tip of the bolt in place, then use the wrench to start taking the nut off. Once u get the nut off so far, you can use the pliers to hold the bolt from under the nut and now you have more room to maneuver the wrench to finish taking to nut off........

signals, it does not matter, it does not matter
it fender removal time boys.
